Pushing Daisies

The set designers of the ABC television show Pushing Daisies have always created amazing, colorful, stimulating visuals and I will truly miss the fanciful show now that it is canceled. Their use of colors and patterns is so inspiring. One of my favorite visuals was Ned's pie stand. The bright colors of the pie fillings contrast so beautifully with the equally bright sky (Image: watchingpushingdaisies.com):

I also love the way the designers take one theme and run with it so far that it becomes part of the humor. Take for example, this honeycomb themed set. Everything, from the windowpanes to the desk, was honeycomb-shaped. Even the wall partitions allow for honeycomb-shaped openings. And again, the use of color is amazing (Image: tv.ign.com).

The color palette for this shot is calming, yet bold.

The colors used in Chuck's aunts' house are eclectic, yet very pleasing at the same time.
