YES. Or NO.

"It’s so easy to say yes. Yes to yet another feature, yes to an overly optimistic deadline, yes a mediocre design, yes, yes, yes. We all want to be loved.

But the love won’t keep you warm for long when you’ve taken on yet another obligation that you don’t whole-heartedly believe in. You very quickly become trapped in a pit of guilt when the stack of things you’ve said yes to loom so high that you can’t even see the things you really should be doing." -- Jesus A. Domingo

Takasugi-an

This precarious-looking teahouse was designed by Terunobu Fujimori. At present, in my construction class, we are working on designing a "perch" that is going to be a sort of seat that is 5' off the ground. My group is in the process of designing a sort of "metal tree" seat. This house seemed particularly applicable to the idea of a perch. (Images from Dezeen.com)

Olisur Olive Oil

This factory is a really beautiful, fairly sustainable factory. I'm impressed that something "industrial" can be so well-designed. It was designed by Guillermo Hevia Architects. (Images from Inhabitat.com)
